Privacy notice
This notice explains what we collect when you sign up your restaurant or contact us, why, how long we keep it, and your rights.
Who we are
NewCaller is a trading name of Agile Software Consultancy Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 11401370, registered office 30 Heddon Court, Cockfosters Road, Barnet, EN4 0DF. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) under number ZC216213. We decide how your sign-up details are used.
What the sign-up form collects
- Your restaurant's name, business type, legal name and (for a company) Companies House number.
- The restaurant's address and, if you give it, its website or social page.
- The owner's name, mobile number and email address.
- Your opening hours, and your rep's code if a rep signed you up.
- That you accepted our terms, and when.
- A one-time code we text to your mobile, and a scrambled (hashed) form of your internet address, to stop misuse.
We never see your full bank or card details. You enter them on Stripe's secure page, and Stripe holds them.
Why we use it
- To set up your NewCaller line, menu and billing, as you asked us to (to take steps towards, and then perform, our contract with you).
- To check your mobile number and protect the form from misuse and fraud (our legitimate interests).
- To credit the rep who signed you up (our legitimate interests).
- To keep tax and accounting records (to meet our legal obligations).
Who we share it with
Only the providers that run the service for us: Stripe (payments), Twilio (texts), Cloudflare (website security and the bot check), DigitalOcean (hosting) and our email providers. They act on our instructions. We never sell your data.
How long we keep it
- A sign-up you don't finish: deleted after 30 days.
- The record of texted codes and hashed internet addresses: deleted after 90 days.
- Customers: for as long as you use NewCaller, then only what tax and accounting rules require us to keep.
Your rights
You can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or object to how we use it. Email info@newcaller.co.uk. We reply within one month and don't charge.
If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first. You can also complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
